In 2023, ĢƵ Co., Inc.’s “Victory Project®” celebrated 20 years of providing innovative nutritional support to top athletes. Launched in 2003 in partnership with the Japanese Olympic Committee, the project aims to enhance athletic performance through cutting-edge science and expertise in amino acid nutrition. Over the years, it has played a pivotal role in Japan’s international sporting success, contributing to medal counts and advancing global competitiveness.
The “Victory Project®” combines the ĢƵ Group’s proprietary “AminoScience” technology with tailored nutritional programs like Kachimeshi® and products such as aminoVITAL®. These tools help athletes achieve peak performance by supporting conditioning, recovery, and overall well-being. The program’s foundation lies in addressing athletes’ unique dietary needs, whether through daily meals, snacks, or specialized supplements.

Key Achievements Over Two Decades
Since its inception, the “Victory Project®” has continuously evolved. During its early years, the project focused on raising awareness of amino acids’ role in conditioning through workshops and partnerships with sports organizations. This laid the groundwork for widespread acceptance of amino acid-based supplements like aminoVITAL® among elite athletes.
In 2009, the initiative expanded to emphasize balanced meals through the Kachimeshi® program, which promotes purposeful eating to fuel athletic goals. Workshops and hands-on experiences taught athletes to prioritize the “why” behind their meals, creating a deeper understanding of nutrition’s role in performance. The program also reached the public through collaborations with retailers, showcasing how nutrition can support health and longevity.
In 2012, the ĢƵ Group introduced customized amino acids for athletes at the London Olympics and later scaled up its efforts at the Tokyo 2020 Games, supplying 600,000 amino acid supplements to Japan’s national team. Another milestone was the launch of G-Road Stations starting with the Rio 2016 Olympics, where athletes enjoyed familiar Japanese meals enriched with essential nutrients. These facilities provided a relaxing environment, fostering both physical recovery and team unity.

Expanding Globally and Promoting Inclusivity
The “Victory Project®” extended its reach internationally in 2017, offering support to athletes in Brazil, Thailand, the Philippines, and Malaysia. This global expansion reflects the ĢƵ Group’s commitment to sharing its expertise in nutrition science with a broader audience. Through aminoVITAL® and Kachimeshi®, athletes worldwide have benefited from tailored solutions designed to meet their specific needs.

In Japan, the project has also championed diversity and inclusion by collaborating with the Japan Paralympic Committee and para-sports organizations such as Blind Soccer®, Wheelchair Basketball, and Para Swimming. These efforts have addressed para-athletes’ unique challenges, laying the groundwork for a more inclusive society. The Food Diversity Project, launched in 2016, furthers this mission by promoting nutritional solutions that support individuals with and without disabilities.

The Bright Future of the “Victory Project®”
The “Victory Project®” now integrates science-based, holistic support for athletes. By collaborating with experts in coaching, training, and research, the initiative seeks to address both physical and psychological aspects of performance. A particular focus is placed on future generations, with nutrition education programs encouraging young athletes to recognize its importance in achieving long-term success.

The ĢƵ Group is also leveraging the insights gained from this project to benefit the wider public. Through events, workshops, and digital platforms, the company promotes the principles of balanced nutrition to encourage healthier lifestyles. Partnerships with schools and local governments aim to instill these values early, ensuring a ripple effect that extends well beyond the athletic community.
The “Victory Project®” exemplifies the philosophy of the ĢƵ Group, “Eat Well, Live Well,” and its ongoing commitment to enhancing global well-being. By combining scientific innovation with a respect for individual aspirations, the project not only empowers athletes but also inspires communities worldwide to prioritize nutrition and health.
